P\u00e5 deres sprog betyder \"Haitises\" h\u00f8jland eller bakker, en reference til kystlinjens stejle geologiske formationer med kalksten. G\u00e5 dybere ind i parken for at udforske grotter som Cueva San Gabriel, <em><strong>Cueva de la Arena, <\/strong><\/em>og <strong><em>Cueva de la L\u00ednea.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Disse huler i reservatet blev brugt som skjul af taino-indianerne og senere af pirater.
